Testimonials

When an important client gives me a demanding recording project, Ted Onyszczak is my first call. His work always exceeds my clients' expectations, and he's a pleasure to work with.

Throughout the process of creating The Slippers I wanted nothing more than to adhere to the old style of doing things. Not only did Ted instantly grasp that concept, but he helped find ways of using new technology to create old in an interesting and new way. It was a pleasure to have someone so knowledgeable, and willing to help realize my vision.

Castlefield Sound is my first call for post audio work. They make the whole process incredibly easy and stress free. Whether I need a full score for a half hour infomercial, a sound design for a short form or a “can you get rid of that hiss” clean and polish, I know I can count on Ted to deliver on time and on budget.

Ted Onyszczak is an accomplished Re-Record Mix Engineer with a sense of professionalism that always keeps his clients at ease even under the tightest deadlines. His attention to detail for delivering quality sound at affordable prices is matched only by his ability to take your unfinished rough mix to the next level.

Ted and I spent some long hours in the studio doing the kind of detail-oriented work that would have made a lesser engineer run out of the room screaming. Even after a long day of editing (in French), Ted's great skill, detail-orientedness, good humour and can-do attitude were intact. I sure appreciated that.

Ted was my first mixologist. He knew how to prep the mixes so they would work for both television and musical distribution which was imperative to helping MUTHA get through the post sound process quickly and onto US Network television. I am so grateful for his guidance and professionalism.

Ted Onyszczak, aka 'Measuring Man', is more than just a mixing engineer in my opinion; I prefer to refer to him as a 'project saver', because he will literally do whatever it takes to bring any musical project to life and make it sound professional & competitive, regardless of what shape it's in when it first arrives at his doorstep.

Featured Video

The Slippers

A wonderful documentary by director Morgan White and Tricon Films I got to mix at La Hacienda Creative Post.

This movie was so much fun to work on. Morgan had such a clear vision it was a thrill to be able to implement it. He wanted the sound of the documentary to pay homage to the sound of the era that was featured in the film. That of the 1930's Wizard of Oz era. But still have it be a modern 5.1 surround mix. I got to really dig in and go to town on this picture. It screened at SXSW and Toronto's Hot Docs festival, where I got to see it on the big screen at the TIFF Bell Lightbox theatre. It's screened at many festival's since.
